Here you will find questions and answers regarding the merging of Telge Energi and Fortum.

Why are Telge Energi and Fortum merging?  

Telge Energi has been part of the Fortum Group for almost a year. Through this merger, we gather our expertise and become better equipped to cater to the needs of the electricity market and our customers’ needs. Together, we can continue to offer, and develop products and services that help you, our customer, to monitor and steer your electricity usage.  

Do we need to act on this information?  

No, you don’t need to do anything. Your electricity contract will automatically be transferred to Fortum on the 1st of October, and your agreement, prices, terms and conditions, and possible discounts will stay exactly as they are now. 

What will happen to our electricity contract with Telge Energi?  

Your electricity contract will be automatically transferred to Fortum on the 1st of October, without any action from your side. Your agreement, prices, terms, and possible discounts will stay exactly as they are now.  

We have signed an electricity contract with Telge Energi that is due to start after 1 October. What will happen to our contract?  

If you have signed an electricity contract that will start after the 1st of October, your contract will start directly with Fortum. You don’t need to do anything; this will happen automatically. Your agreement, prices, terms and conditions, and possible discounts will stay exactly as they are now.  

What will happen to our electricity production contract?  

If you have an electricity production contract for your solar panels with us it will be automatically transferred to Fortum on the 1st of October.   

We have a value added service, what will happen to that?  

If you have one or more of our value added services (i.e. Förnybart Plus and/or Bra Miljöval) this too will be transferred to Fortum on the 1st of October. If your value added service(s) are bound to start after the 1st of October, your service will start directly with Fortum. You don’t need to do anything; this will happen automatically. Your prices and terms and conditions will stay exactly as they are now.  

We have purchased solar panels, solar batteries and/or a wallbox/charging point. What kind of support will we have access to after the 1st of October?

Our electricity contract has a binding period. Will the binding period remain after our contract has been transferred to Fortum?  

Yes, the same terms and conditions apply.   

Will the terms and conditions of our contract(s) change as of the 1st of October?  

No, your agreement, prices, terms, and conditions as well as possible discounts will stay exactly as they are now.  

Will we also be assigned a new electricity grid company?  

No, your grid company will remain the same as today. However, at the end of summer, your grid company will most probably send a message to confirm the transition to Fortum. You don’t need to act on this. 

We have bought a solar cell system, battery, or a charging box. What applies to us?  

Until October 1st, Telge Energi’s customer service will help you. If you recently bought solar cells or batteries from us, but have not yet had them installed, we will of course install them according to plan. After the 1st of October, all service and support will be taken care of by Fortum.  

What benefits will we have as a customer at Fortum?  

How will our personal data be kept safe during and after the transition to Fortum?  

Your personal data is safe with us. After the merger, Fortum Markets AB will resume responsibility for the personal data that has been processed while you have been a customer at Telge Energi.
